After competing in an open tender for the University of Essex’s annual summer works Phelan Construction have been awarded this contract for the fifth consecutive year. The summer works which are carried out during the summer recess involve the refurbishment of the Universities extensive student accommodation. In 2015 the works include refurbishment of Alresford House Kitchens and Bedrooms, Wolfson Court Shower Replacements along with further refurbishment works to the North Towers.
The £1.1m project will be completed under a strict and demanding programme in order to have the facilities ready for use at the start of the autumn term in September 2015.
