What did the project involve?

Everyman Cinemas are a unique independent network of boutique cinemas that offer the customer an exclusive experience with plush sofa seats and an in-movie dining service.

Phelan’s project at Everyman Cinema in Chelmsford included the full fit-out of 5 main screens and a private screen and bar. The building was transformed from an empty shell by raising the floors, installing acoustic ceilings, redecoration throughout and the construction of a feature staircase.

What stand-out features did the project boast?

The works were carried out in a clean shell which was located in the new retail and leisure of Chelmsford town centre, and the new cinema is the focal point of this development with various restaurants and high-end retailers, making this new area a must visit location in this historic city.
