At Phelan, we take great pride in our team. Every one of our staff are committed to our companies mission to deliver quality projects to full customer satisfaction. However, there are those unsung heroes of the business who go above and beyond to fulfil their duties and inspire those around them. That’s why we have the “Phelan Recognition Awards”, held at our Annual Christmas Party, to bring to light the achievements of these dedicated individuals.
As with previous years, we opened up voting for the recognition awards to our staff, and our team did not hold back! MD, Neil Coy’s inbox was filled with nominations from staff sharing all that they appreciate about their colleagues.
Neil announced the award winners at the Phelan Christmas Party held at Wivenhoe House, Colchester.
The Winners:
Best Newcomer to Site – Billy Mansfield
Billy was nominated in nearly every category by his fellow colleagues. He has made a strong first impression on the business and is clearly the Site Manager to watch for in 2019.
Best Newcomer to the Office – Sarah Rainbird
Sarah has an infectious personality and a “can-do” attitude to her work. She was nominated by virtually every office staff member!
Safety Champion – Phil Stubbins
Phil has consistently demonstrated the strongest health and safety management culture on all of his projects and was unanimously chosen by the SHE Department.
Environmental Champion – Paul Clark
Paul was also nominated in each category but Matthew Elmer, the environmental consultant at Phelan, considered that above everyone else, Paul had understood and embraced the Company’s new environmental standards.
Employee of the Year – Craig Bennett
Embodying the 3P’s of Phelan, Craig has “stepped up” again this year taking on a new and challenging commercial role within the business.
