What did the project involve?

Following our success at tender stage Phelan Construction was awarded this contract by established restaurant brand, Royal China Group. The 2,800m2 fit-out would make Bang Bang Oriental London’s biggest Asian Food Hall, featuring the manufacture and installation of 28 bespoke joinery food kiosks, all delivered by Phelan Constructions in house joinery company.

In addition Phelan constructed a new mezzanine floor within the space which houses a sprung dance floor, office and the M&E plant room. This p[roject was also delivered concurrently with the £1.5m fit out of Golden Dragon Restaraunt on the ground floor, seating 250 guests.

What stand-out features did the project boast?

Many different Asian style dishes are offered, including Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese etc. Therefore the services feeding the kiosks were installed with the specialist kitchens suited to that type of cooking in mind - a great example of Phelan’s ability to deliver versatility in order to the achieve client’s needs. The finished result is a clean-cut and stylised restaurant with bespoke joinery and exposed mechanical and electrical installations throughout which particularly made the open communal seating area an inviting place for customers to enjoy the plentiful dishes on offer.
