What did the project involve?

This fit out of a nine-screen cinema within the Moor shopping complex in Sheffield, offers a luxury environment at affordable prices for movie enthusiasts. The work carried out by Phelan created a cinema that has its own identity for the city as requested by the client and includes a ticket hall counter, a cafe, two foyers and brand new projector rooms.

What challenges did the project team face?

Key items of work involved the installation of screens and associated AV equipment, along with ceramic wall and floor tiling and decorating the venue throughout. The project was completed within an 18-week contract period to the delight of the client and the residents of the steel city who are enjoying the latest blockbuster movies at the entertainment venue. Phelan have since gone on to complete seven cinema fit-outs for the chain, all of which have been stand out projects which have embraced the group's vision of ‘sociable cinema’.
