Butlins Resort Skegness was the original Butlins Holiday Park which was opened in 1936 by Billy Butlin having taken inspiration from Harry Warner’s successful holiday camp company, Warners. Today the camp continues to entertain 400,000 visitors per year and following the resurgence in the popularity of UK based holiday resorts the contract to refurbish the guest accommodation together with the public areas presented a prestigious prospect for Phelan’s. Now owned by the UK’s largest leisure operator, Bourne Leisure, the contract to carry out the £3.5m refurbishment works was let through competitive tender and involves amongst other things the complete refurbishment of 80 chalets.
Phelan Construction was delighted to win our first contract with this prestigious new client and we look forward to building a lasting relationship with them.
