What did the project involve?
This project involved the fit-out of extensive areas of the new Genting Resorts World at Birmingham’s NEC.The clean shell covered five floors of which we won the contract to fit-out various areas including the 4500m² main casino floor, 1000m² nightclub, 1900m² of hotel public areas, including numerous bars and restaurants, and 6000m² of retail space.
The retail aspect was a mixture of “grey boxes” and “white boxes”, all delivered in a 33-week period. The grey box finish involved installing the services, shop fronts and basic finishes whereas the white box finishes involved fitting out the space to a basic standard including basic services, fixtures and fittings ready for the tenant fit-out.
